So here’s the real bio. My name is Jessica. I’m 29. I live in Chicago. This is what it is. I go to work all day, and I come home and I make music. This is what I want to do.
I named my ‘band’ My Imaginary Life because I was tired of real life and all its limitations. I wanted to live out different possibilities and experiences through music.
I don’t play shows now (yet!), namely because I can’t figure out how to play multiple instruments at one time. But I’m working on it. Getting a band that is, not playing a bunch of instruments by myself. Although that would be impressive.
Music is changing. You don’t need a label anymore. You don’t need big record companies. You just need something to play, something to record, and some way to get it out there. How far can you take it?
